Margaret Richards

Having completed a Certificate in Drawing and Painting from the Haliburton School of Art and Design, and retired from a career in health care, Margaret has been able to devote more time to  her love of painting .

Among professional artists most influential in the development of her art, are Jack Reid, Art Cunanan, June Thomson, Pat Fairhead, and John Anderson.

Since moving to Muskoka, Margaret has made connections with other artists who have become dear friends.

Traveling and painting plein air together, she is inspired by the surrounding landscape. In her paintings, Margaret hopes to engage the viewer to see the beauty and mystery in ordinary and extraordinary things.

Margaret has memberships in local and provincial art societies and groups.

Margaret’s art hangs in private collections in Canada and the US.

Below are the paintings Margaret is showing through Muskoka Unlimited.
