Larry was born in Stratford, Ontario, growing up in Kitchener and Oakville.
Although most of his year is spent in Boston, Larry enjoys the summers (14 years and counting) at his Manitouwabing Lake cottage in the Parry Sound area.
Larry’s passion for photography was developed while living in Europe from 2000 to 2007, in both Paris, France and Brussels, Belgium. Falling under the magical spell of Paris – and France in general – he made it his mission to capture the architecture, people and culture that defines the most popular tourist destination in the world.
Eventually moving on to Brussels, his passion behind the lens continued. At the urging of a friend in Belgium, Larry’s first coffee table book, My Belgium, was published.
During the summer at the cottage, Larry has captured many images of the area’s beauty. This spurred on his second book, Manitouwabing Lake, which has proven to be a popular with cottagers.
His latest project, the “THINK BIG” Cottage Collection will be published in a book this fall and will focus on life in cottage country from a seasonal visitor’s perspective and what it means to those who spend their summers in the area. It is a whimsical look at cottage life from a different perspective.
