Paul Feist

Being a personality that loves an audience, Paul Feist spent his early years strutting  the stage or performing in front of the camera for film and television in the GTA  arena. He and his acting troupe had a TV show We’re Only Joking which ran for  two seasons on CHCH. This love of stage carries on to today.

Upon moving to Muskoka with his bride in 1987, they purchased the Port Sandfield Marketeria, which they operated for ten years. It was during this period  Paul began to write for the local, Muskoka Sun summer newspaper. His humorous  column Feist or Famine ran for ten years, spawning his desire to write a novel.

Paul, recalling his invaluable experiences as a teen working aboard oil tankers for the British American Oil Co., would never have guessed that those same  experiences would eventually provide fodder for his fictionalized memoir of a  young man coming of age sailing treacherous waters.

Feist’s debut novel, Broken Anchor is an adventure-romance taking the reader on  a voyage from the Great Lakes to the sweltering shores of South America.
