Dr. John P. Smol, a distinguished professor from Queen’s University, and an active scientist at the Paleoecological Environmental Assessment and Research Lab (PEARL) took some time out to chat with Chris on the Podcast.

They discussed how scientists use samples from deep in the lakebed to determine age and lake health, what types of factors are impacting lake ecosystems and the environment, what is being done and what can be done to find the ideal balance between man and nature.
