Fundraising dance party being held at Deerhurst to support local family

Jenn Earthy has been battling a rare form of cancer for over six years, and despite her valiant efforts, it has been deemed terminal.

Throughout the years, her family and friends have been big support in a variety of manners, including through a Go Fund Me to raise funds to help with cold cap therapy (that is not covered by insurance or OHIP).

Their newest fundraiser being organized by Jenn’s sister Kirsty and it promises to be a blast for all.

The upcoming EPIC DANCE GLO PARTY TO KRUSH KANCER is a 19-plus party being held in the Peninsula Room at Deerhurst Resort. Bracelets are $30 each and you’ll need one to get in.

Along with entry to the party, the fee enters you into a draw for a door prize and there will be a late night snack included. Drinks are separate and can be purchased at the bar with Visa/Debit.

However, bring extra cash for donations and to play games.

As per the Facebook event page, the party is “In honour of our warrior Jenn Earthy. Sadly has been battling her very aggressive and rare cancer for 6+ years. She has now become terminal and has a husband and very darling 8 year old that we are wanting to protect in the future. She is determined to use this time to the very full extent! Join us for a super fun night and raise some money for her family and their devastating future “
