International Women’s Day in Muskoka

An all-star panel of speakers is set for breakfast event in Gravenhurst

Press Release with Chris O Edits

Four extraordinary businesswomen on the speaker panel, a networking breakfast, and a celebration of inclusion are the main reasons to join Muskoka’s celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8 in Gravenhurst.

The event is titled Inspiring Inclusion and will be held at the Terry Fox Auditorium in the Gravenhurst Centennial Centre from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. It is being presented by the Muskoka Lakes Chamber of Commerce with partners TD Bank Group and Bala Cove Marina.

Breakfast is by Indigenous chef Nicole Richard (owner of The Hook and Ladder Bar & Grill in Bala for 22 years) with artisanal chocolate bon bon tree by Cacao Boys. Plus gifts for each attendee and, of course, the speaker panel.

The speaker panel consists of  Beth Potter, President and CEO of Tourism Industry Association of Canada, One of 50 Top Woman in Global Travel; Tracy Macgregor, Chief Operating Officer of Restaurants Canada, who also grew up in Gravenhurst; Amanda McLennan, the visionary owner of RB Design working closely with Muskoka Trades out of Port Carling, who is also the host of The Creative Influencer Podcast; and Claudia Dessanti, the Director of Policy for the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and the author of The She-Covery Project (about the pandemic impact on women).
